TC Chillemi Foundation Initiatives
Honoring a Life. Advancing Support
ASU Counseling Services Tempe is home to the TC Chillemi Foundation Counseling Center, named in loving memory of TC Chillemi, an ASU student whose life ended far too soon. In the wake of this loss, TC’s family created a foundation that now fuels vital work centered on compassion, connection, and the courage to speak honestly about mental health and substance use.
TC Chillemi Initiatives shine a light on three powerful truths at the heart of TC’s story:
- People who seem larger than life can still struggle with substances.
- It takes one — a brave friend — to step in, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Addiction is real, can be fatal, and its impact ripples through families and communities for years.
Through these initiatives, ASU students are invited to lead with compassion, connect with care, and create a campus culture where no one struggles alone.
I want to share TC’s story with as many people as possible. If I’m able to get the message through to at least one kid every time I speak, then I’ve done my job and I know that my son, TC, has a smile on his face.
