Programming & Events

The Panhellenic Association offers the sorority and ASU communities programming and resources in a variety of areas.

  • Cinderella Affair - each spring the Panhellenic community partners with Cinderella Affair and East Valley Women’s League to collect and donate dresses. All dresses were donated to a special boutique for local teens in Maricopa County to pick out and have a prom dress at no expense to them. Last year, over 230 dresses were collected at the event.

  • Women’s Leadership Dinners - annually in the spring semester, Panhellenic hosts a women’s leadership dinner for chapter presidents, women’s organizations at ASU, and female leaders in the faculty and staff community to network, share experiences and discuss how to be better female leaders in the ASU community.

  • PowHER Women's Conference - aims to empower women in areas that affect so many of us in today's society. From leadership development to networking and work/life balance, it is the conference’s goal to encompass a wide variety of topics that are influential in every college woman’s life both as a student at Arizona State University and beyond. PowHER was recognized with a 2016 Pitchfork Award for "Best Educational Program". PowHER 2017 saw over 300 attendees, keynote programs from national speakers Erin Fischer & Tina VanSteenbergan, and breakout sessions from ASU alumnae, community partners & empowered women in Arizona
    • PowHER 2018 will be held in October 21, 2018. Check back on the website in August for registration details and speaker information.

  • Values-based Recruitment Training - entering it's 4th year of partnership, Panhellenic has teamed up with Phired Up Productions and facilitator KJ McNamara to host a values based recruitment training for new chapter members and the Panhellenic recruitment leadership team. Through the annual weekend training in March, members learn how to better identify their personal values and create a more welcoming, inclusive & values-based recruitment experience for potential new members. Members leave this experience more confident in themselves and with a stronger sense of how to articulate their personal values to others.

  • Sexual Violence Prevention Education - Panhellenic partners with ASU Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP) and Educational Outreach & Student Services to provide educational programs and resources to members and the community regarding sexual assault on campus. During the year, Panhellenic sponsors tabling for Denim Day, has co-hosted a dinner and showing of the Hunting Ground with Students for Consent, co-hosted a panel on sexual assault response resources on campus, and participated in ASU’s Take Back the Night. During the Fall 2017 semester, nearly 100 women completed the first session of the Sorority Leadership Project, developed and lead by Panhellenic sorority members. Sorority members completed a 6 week in-person sexual violence prevention series, discussing topics related to healthy sexualities, consent, cultures of violence and supporting & reporting services for survivors of sexual misconduct.

  • New Member Education - Panhellenic is coordinates a program called Jr. Panhellenic for new members of Panhellenic chapters. Here, new members of each sorority will have the opportunity to engage in member development experiences like sisterhood, service and personal development, and build relationships with women in other chapters to foster an early sense of community spirit. Signature events that Jr. Panhellenic hosts includes the Sorority Sponsored Pink ASU Women's Basketball Game & Pans-Giving during the month of November.
