Fraternity & Sorority Statistics

Each year, our community members achieve better academically, are elected to the highest leadership roles in student government, dedicate thousands of hours to community service, donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to charitable organizations, serve as executive officers for many of ASU’s 1,000+ student organizations, and build campus spirit, pride, and tradition through our major campus events like the Welcome Week Block Party, Homecoming, Greek Week, and Greek Sing. Most importantly, fraternities and sororities provide the opportunity to establish bonds with the most dedicated, talented, and diverse people on campus and be a part of a global network of alumni that will last a lifetime.

A few of the highlights from 2022 include:

  • More than 5,500 undergraduate students, representing 6% of the undergraduate student population, were members of fraternities and sororities
  • 65 fraternities and sororities are currently active on campus, of which more than 25 fraternities and sororities are culturally-based organizations with Latino/a, African-American, Native American, Asian American, and LGBTQA focuses.
