Sun Devil Movement for Violence Prevention
What is the Sun Devil Movement for Violence Prevention?
The Sun Devil Movement for Violence Prevention is a student organization focused on preventing sexual and relationship violence at Arizona State University and beyond. Individual students, student organizations, fraternity and sorority chapters, and athletic teams, with support from the Sexual and Relationship Violence Program, come together to actively create a community free from violence, harassment, exploitation and intimidation of any kind.
The Sun Devil MVP creates change through efforts such as collaborative programming, civic engagement, trainings, victim and survivor support, educational workshops and more.

Looking back
Sun Devil MVP began in 2015 as a group of active students wanting to engage in violence prevention in their community with support from Sexual and Relationship Violence Prevention at ASU. In the following years, the organization expanded to the ASU Downtown Phoenix campus, followed by the ASU West campus, and in 2020 expanded to the ASU Online community.
Sun Devil MVP has a history of hosting engaging events, educational workshops, and meetings for their peers, to provide them with opportunities to engage in sexual and relationship violence prevention, community service and more. In April 2021, Sun Devil MVP hosted a painting and prevention event where students came together to explore the role art can play in the prevention of violence in our community.
