Welcome to ASU! We’ve got a full week of activities designed to kick off your Sun Devil journey. From signature, university-wide events like Sun Devil Welcome and Infernofest to campus based experiences like Rock the Rec, there’s something for everyone to connect, have fun, and find their community. Use the events as an opportunity to explore campus, get to know where you’re going and meet other new students along the way.

Just remember, you are ready to be a Sun Devil.

University Signature Events

Sun Devil Welcome and Infernofest

Tuesday, Aug. 19, 8 to 10 p.m.

Experience Sun Devil spirit, pride, and tradition at its finest during the high-energy Sun Devil Welcome event for all ASU first-year students inside Mountain America Stadium. Think… Sparky, Sun Devil Athletics, the ASU marching band and student leaders!  After Sun Devil Welcome, it’s time for InfernoFest.

All ASU students are invited to attend this FREE live concert on the Mountain America Stadium stage featuring a popular music artist. Past performers at InfernoFest have included Flo Milli, A$AP Ferg, Jack Harlow, and bbno$. Stay tuned for the exciting reveal of this year’s featured artist in early August!

California Center and ASU Online students can livestream BOTH Sun Devil Welcome and the Infernofest Concert at the ASU Live website.

Echo from the Buttes is a long-standing ASU tradition where first-year students hike “A” Mountain, receive white paint at the top, and leave a handprint on the “A” to mark their start in the Sun Devil community.

Taste of the MU/MU Welcome is an involvement fair that focuses on providing students with delicious food from around the world and highlighting unique cultural opportunities available at ASU.
