Graphic Design Through the Art of Screenprinting - School of Art Summer Camp 2024

-

A backpack with a student-made screen-printed dinosaur design on itAdd some flair to your backpack or t-shirts, print your own logos on a tote bag, or create your own prints to hang up at home! In this screenprinting camp, you'll practice the printing and layering processes with transparencies and stencils as you incorporate techniques of drawing, tracing, detailed cutting, composition, and found object exposure. Water-based inks in a variety of colors will be mixed for printing. Students will take home their creations, as well as their own School of Art tote bag.

Our summer camps welcome students ages 13-18 with a wide range of experience, from beginners to advanced artists. The program is designed to provide students with an art immersion experience: the opportunity to engage in studio practice, to collaborate with peers, and to receive one-on-one feedback from specialized faculty members about their artistic craft. Requisite materials are provided to each student. More information and registration details can be found at our website.
