Clay Camp - School of Art Summer Camp 2024

-

A student making a clay bowl on a pottery wheelBring an artistic vision to life through the exploration of ceramic hand building, throwing, and surface design! In this camp, you’ll create imaginative ceramic forms and apply various design methods using underglaze, painting, and carving techniques. In addition, you’ll experiment with the pottery wheel to shape your own vases, dishware, and more. After learning about the full pottery process, you’ll select pieces to be fired, which will be available for pick up after the camp's conclusion.

Our summer camps welcome students ages 13-18 with a wide range of experience, from beginners to advanced artists. The program is designed to provide students with an art immersion experience: the opportunity to engage in studio practice, to collaborate with peers, and to receive one-on-one feedback from specialized faculty members about their artistic craft. Requisite materials are provided to each student. More information and registration details can be found at our website.
