Clay Camp

Bring an artistic vision to life through the exploration of ceramic hand-building, throwing, and surface design! In this camp, you’ll create imaginative ceramic forms and apply various design methods using underglaze, painting and carving techniques. In addition, you’ll experiment with the pottery wheel to shape your own vases, dishware and more. After learning about the full pottery process, you’ll select pieces to be fired, which will be available for pickup after the camp's conclusion.

This camp is offered on two separate weeks:

Option 1: June 2 – 5 | M – Th | 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Option 2: June 9 – 12 | M – Th | 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The School of Art at Arizona State University offers art camps for students ages 13-18 throughout the summer. These four- and five-day camps—which are open to students with all levels of experience—reflect a wide variety of studio art practices and provide students with an art immersion experience. Each camp gives participants the opportunity to meet others with similar interests and to receive valuable one-on-one feedback from our specialized instructors. All materials are provided for in-person camps. We can’t wait to work with you!
