The Art of Woodworking - School of Art Summer Camp 2024

-

A student works on a woodworking project with the help of an instructorWork with wood as you create tools, toys, and games! In this introductory woodworking camp, you will learn the fundamentals of carving and joinery within the School of Art’s dedicated Woods Studio. Each participant will learn to use the bandsaw and various hand tools to design and create sculptural objects.

Our summer camps welcome students ages 13-18 with a wide range of experience, from beginners to advanced artists. The program is designed to provide students with an art immersion experience: the opportunity to engage in studio practice, to collaborate with peers, and to receive one-on-one feedback from specialized faculty members about their artistic craft. Requisite materials are provided to each student. More information and registration details can be found at our website.
