The Art of Woodworking Camp

Work with wood as you create tools, toys, and games! In this five-day introductory woodworking camp, you will learn the fundamentals of carving and joinery within the School of Art’s dedicated Woods Studio. Each participant will learn to use the bandsaw and various hand tools to design and create sculptural objects.

The School of Art at Arizona State University offers art camps for students ages 13-18 throughout the summer. These four- and five-day camps—which are open to students with all levels of experience—reflect a wide variety of studio art practices and provide students with an art immersion experience. Each camp gives participants the opportunity to meet others with similar interests and to receive valuable one-on-one feedback from our specialized instructors. All materials are provided for in-person camps. We can’t wait to work with you!
