Eligibility
Academically motivated and/or high achieving students are eligible to apply. All applicants must meet Criteria 1. Applicants must submit documentation that satisfies Criteria 2.
Criteria 1:
Enrollment in 9th, 10th 11th, or 12th grade in Fall 2024.
AND
Criteria 2:
Recent report card or transcript
Barrett Summer Scholars is a highly competitive program. While there is no minimum GPA or test score that is required for eligibility, eligible students should demonstrate a GPA of 2.7 or higher.
Selection
The applicant's academic records are only one component of the selection process. Applicants will be rated holistically, so all parts of the application are important. In the past, applicants who can demonstrate a willingness to engage in learning have been the most successful in BSS.
