USG West Valley Committees

The Senate has three (3) standing committees, which serve to accomplish several goals including, but not limited to, legislative oversight, funding appropriations, and initiatives to improve the student experience at the ASU West Valley Campus.

 

Appropriations Committee

Appropriations Committee

The Committee on Appropriations is responsible for, but not limited to, legislation concerning the ASU West Valley appropriations of the Student Initiative Fee (SIF) in accordance with both USG and University policy and guidelines.

The chair for the 2023/24 school year is Madelyn Pritchard and the co-chair is Cayden Perry.

 

 

Government Operations Committee

Government Operations Committee

The Committee on Government Operations is responsible for, but not limited to, legislation concerning the oversight of USG operations, and revisions of the ASASU USG Constitution, USG Bylaws, Senate Rules of Order, and Standing Rules of ASU West Valley.

The chair for the 2023/24 school year is Carlos Medina.

 

 

University Affairs Committee

University Affairs Committee

The Committee on University Affairs is responsible for, but not limited to, research and investigation of issues important to the student body and the University, reporting their findings and recommendations to the USG Senate, and for the drafting of appropriate legislation for ASU West Valley.

The chair for the 2023/24 school year is Keeva Kerrigan-Mize.
