Laboratory
Lab draw services are offered at all locations. Some lab test results are available the same day, most other lab test results are available within a few days.
All lab orders need to have an appointment. Please call us at 480-965-3349 to schedule your lab appointment or you can make it on your patient portal(My Health Portal).
Our experienced, professional staff provides accurate, quality testing in a timely manner. All Health Services locations have trained staff who make specimen collection as efficient and pain-free as possible.

Same day results are provided for the following tests at all locations:
- Bacterial vaginosis
- Blood Glucose
- Hemoccult
- Influenza
- Mono
- Strep
- Pregnancy
- Trichomonas
- Urinalysis
The Clinical Laboratory at ASU Health Services – Tempe is an on-site, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)-approved facility. The clinical laboratory at Tempe also performs same day results for:
- CBC (complete blood count)
- D-Dimer
- ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate)
- HgA1c (specific blood glucose test)
- HIV
- Measles titer
- Microscopic urines
- RPR (syphilis screening)
- Serum qualitative pregnancy test
- Sickle cell screening
- TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone)
- Wet preps
Laboratory tests not performed on-site are sent to a reference lab for analysis. Many of these results are available in 2-3 days after collection. After your ordering ASU clinician has reviewed the lab test results, you are able to view these results in your patient portal.
Outside orders should have the following information: ordering provider, diagnosis code, at least two patient identifiers (example: patient name and date of birth), fax number to the ordering provider.
STI testing is available at ASU Health Services locations for the following tests:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- HIV
- Syphilis
STI Testing is available to ASU students, Monday - Friday during normal business hours.
