When is Family Weekend?
Family Weekend 2026 will be held Friday through Sunday, Nov. 6-8. Registration will open in August and remain open until Saturday, Nov. 7. Registration will include all signature events, Friday on-campus parking, access to the Sun Devil Fitness Complexes, use of the ASU Campus Shuttle system and discounts to Sun Devil Athletics programs including the maroon monsoon ASU home football game vs. Colorado at Mountain America Stadium.
What is Family Weekend?
Family Weekend is a time-honored tradition held during the fall semester on the ASU campus. Current students invite their families to join them on campus for a weekend of events to celebrate Sun Devil spirit, pride and tradition. Family members of all ages can enjoy activities hosted by academic colleges, campus departments, ASU Family and Sun Devil Athletics.
Who can attend?
Any ASU affiliated families — students, staff, faculty, alumni and their family members and guests of all ages are welcome to attend.
What is the cost of attending Family Weekend?
Registration costs cover all non-ticketed events, use of the campus shuttle system, access to Sun Devil Fitness Complexes, materials and the pre-game meal and activities at the signature ASU Family Block Party on Saturday, Nov. 7.
2026 registration fees:
- $48 for guests and $27 for students.
- There is no charge for children under 5.
- For families who register after Oct. 18, a $10 per ticket late fee will apply.
Registration cancellations will be accepted until Oct. 22 . All refunds will deduct a 5% service charge to cover credit card transaction fees.
For families of Pell Eligible students for whom this will pose a financial hardship, please email [email protected]. Certain events such as the Gold Rush 5K Race and other ticketed events have their own fees attached.
Where should we stay for Family Weekend?
Families can choose from a variety of accommodations to best suit their needs. Discounted hotel options are available through Oct. 7 or until rooms fill, and listed on the bottom of the ASU Family Weekend website. For additional information on traveling to ASU, go to https://visit.asu.edu/travel.
What time should families arrive in town on Friday?
Check-in will begin at each campus the morning of Friday, Nov. 6, 2026 , with events typically beginning mid-morning/early afternoon. We encourage participating families to plan to arrive by midday Friday to maximize their weekend. Check out the 2026 schedule here.

Where can I get help if I have questions during Family Weekend?
Each campus has information centers with access to Family Weekend event information as well as general campus and university resources. These locations are indicated with a star on the printed Family Weekend Guide distributed at check-in:
- Downtown Phoenix - Student Center @ the Post Office
- Polytechnic - Student Union
- Tempe - Memorial Union
- West Valley - University Center
There will also be an “I Can Help” Booth located at the ASU Family Block Party during Saturday’s pre-game activities.
