New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at ASU's West Campus welcomes our families to the New College Greet and Gather event on Friday, November 6th, 2020! We are so excited to connect with you and come together with our New College Dean and Vice Provost of ASU's West Campus, Dr. Todd Sandrin. After a welcome and Q & A with Dean Sandrin, we will be joined by New College faculty from each of the three schools within New College: The School of Humanities, Arts, and Cultural Studies; The School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences; and The School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Each faculty will take a few moments to share exciting research and happenings within each school. Our New College Peer Mentors will also be at this event to answer questions as well as share their experiences as current New College students! We hope you will gather with us there!

Hear firsthand stories from members of our Sun Devil community as they share their experience as entrepreneurs navigating the challenges (and opportunities!) of business ownership while also managing family obligations. Keeping it ‘all in the family’ panelist will include: a mother and daughter/current Sun Devil, and a husband and wife. W. P. Carey invites you to an evening with faculty and a live student pitch competition. All business students take WPC 101, in which they work on a group project called the “Entrepreneurship Challenge.” Student teams identify a problem, then work together to find a solution, develop a business plan and present it within their classes. Winners are selected from more than 160 different classes, narrowed down by student leaders, and the top five will be presenting to judges during this event.
Maroon & Gold Table Talk: Herberger Institute student leaders on how families can support their students

Herberger Institute student leaders have both the experience of walking the journeys your students are on right now and learning about the resources that can support them all the way to graduation. We'll host a panel of our student leaders to discuss some of the unique challenges they have had as students, how they are coping with virtual learning, resources available to support students, and their perspectives on how families can support their students. Come with your questions for our virtual Q & A. The panel will be hosted by Herberger Institute Associate Dean for Students, Stephani Etheridge Woodson.
