Family Weekend

Celebrate spirit, pride, Sun Devil family tradition

Plan to join us for ASU Family Weekend 2022 on Nov. 4-6 as we celebrate Sun Devil spirit, pride and tradition! During a weekend packed with family-friendly activities, you and your entire family will be able to experience life on the ASU campus alongside your Sun Devil.

As part of the festivities, registrants will be eligible to purchase reduced-priced tickets at a special Family Weekend discounted price to attend the ASU vs. UCLA football game on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Sun Devil Stadium. Registrants will also receive information for booking discounted hotel rooms near each campus location.

Registration for Family Weekend 2022 will open this fall.

When is Family Weekend?

Family Weekend 2022 will take place Friday, Nov. 4 through Sunday, Nov. 6.

What is Family Weekend?

Family Weekend is a long-standing ASU tradition held during the fall semester. Current students invite their families to join them on campus for a weekend of events to celebrate Sun Devil spirit and traditions. Family members of all ages can enjoy activities hosted by academic colleges, campus departments and Sun Devil Athletics.

Who can attend?

Any ASU affiliated families — students, staff, faculty, alumni and their family members and guests of all ages are welcome to attend.

What is the cost of attending Family Weekend?

Registration details for Family Weekend 2022 will be announced in the summer. Registration grants families access to all Family Weekend events and programs and provides families with access to discounted ASU Football tickets for the ASU vs. UCLA game on Saturday, Nov. 5. 

Where should we stay for family weekend?

Families can choose from a variety of accommodations to best suit their needs. Registrants will receive information about booking through the Family Weekend room blocks held at hotels near each campus location. For additional information on traveling to ASU, go to https://visit.asu.edu/travel.

What time should families arrive in town on Friday?

Check-in will begin at each campus the morning of Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, with events beginning at midday. Be sure to review the Family Weekend calendar of events (to be available on this website in the fall) to plan your visit. 

Who can I contact for more information about Family Weekend or for assistance with registration questions?

Where do I check-in for Family Weekend?

You will check in at the campus you’re registered with. Check-in locations will be provided in your confirmation email after you complete registration. Reminders will be sent out in emails leading up to the event date.

Can I go to class with my student?

Most faculty members will allow guests to visit their classrooms during Family Weekend. Have your student check with his or her individual professors prior to your visit.

When will the full schedule of events be available to participants?

The full Family Weekend 2022 schedule will be released in the fall to help families plan their weekend. The schedule will be emailed to all participants and will be posted on this website. 

Are football tickets included with Family Weekend registration?

No. Football tickets need to be purchased separately through Sun Devil Athletics. However, once you pay for a Family Weekend registration you will be eligible to purchase tickets at a special Family Weekend discounted price. 

Do students need to purchase tickets to the football game?

If the student would like to sit with his or her family, then he or she will need to purchase a ticket. However, fee-paying students may sit in the student section for no charge, just like any other home football game.
