The Black African Coalition at Arizona State University dedicates itself to unifying students of African descent (hereby known as ASU Black, African, & Caribbean students) toward the following common goals and objectives for this community: supporting our recruitment, retention, and graduation, increase visibility as a campus presence through the support of social programming and Black Student Unions on each campus and through the activities and participation of Black, African, & Caribbean campus organization, and advocate for the be a voices of for all ASU Black, African, & Caribbean students and organizations.

Throughout the academic year, Arizona State University dedicates months and weeks to honoring Sun Devils’ heritage. The Black African Coalition leads the celebration of Black History Month each February. BAC Wellness Friday

The BAC promotes health and wellness through these hard times of a racial and health pandemic. Please see these resources that are here to assist you.

As we look into the future, the BAC sees a variety of ways that we can continue to advocate for the ASU Black community as well as improve the individual experience for each student. The BAC has committed to a series of initiatives that we are promising to be completed by Fall 2022. Our priorities for the 2021-2022 school year are:

  • Follow-up & Enhance Multicultural Center initiative
  • Follow-up & Enhance ASU PD initiative
  • Host Events that are both educational and community involved
