We invite you to join us for the Spring 2022 Family Welcome on Wednesday, January 12 at 5:30 p.m. MST.

Here you will have the opportunity to learn what being part of the ASU Family is all about while connecting with fellow family members and ASU staff. As your student is settling into the new academic semester, we want you to also get involved in the ASU community in support of your student and to start building your own exciting Sun Devil experience.

 In this interactive, virtual event, families will:

The Piper Writers House is open! Drop by for our new open hours every first and third Friday* from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to learn more about our historic building, meet creative writing community or just hang out and read a book. We're located on the Tempe Campus of Arizona State University at 450 E Tyler Mall, Tempe, AZ 85281.

Volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions about our programs and the history of our space. Come on in!

Angela Byars-Winston, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Dr. Byars-Winston is a counseling psychologist and studies the impact of cultural diversity variables on academic and career development and mentorship, particularly in STEM fields. Dr. Byars-Winston is currently the Principal Investigator in the National Research Mentoring Network leading the Culturally Aware Mentoring initiative through the National Institutes of Health.

Led by a lineup of local instructors from various valley studios, Live Well Stadium Yoga is a series of FREE one-hour yoga classes open to both the Sun Devil community and the general public. All levels from beginner to expert are welcome to practice at any and all of the Spring 2022 Series classes. Registration is required for each class and individual attendee, and it is recommended that all students bring their own yoga mat, water and towel.
