We’re excited you have decided to become part of the Sun Devil family! We can’t wait to see what you will accomplish during your time at Arizona State University. As a transfer student you have already invested time and energy into your studies, and you understand what it takes to succeed in college.
The New Student Programs office is here to support you as you begin your journey as a Sun Devil. After you are admitted, you will complete the virtual New Student Orientation Experience to help you successfully onboard. Through your orientation experience you’ll be introduced to all the amazing resources ASU has to offer transfer students to start your semester strong.
Getting Started
Once you’ve been admitted and decide you want to attend ASU as a transfer student, your next step is to reserve your spot in the incoming class by submitting the $250 transfer enrollment deposit. The enrollment deposit allows you to begin your next steps toward enrollment, which include registering for classes and completing the New Student Orientation Experience.

Please visit the “Advising and Registration” module in the New Transfer Student Orientation Experience. Follow the Next Steps for Registration as provided by your Academic College to register for classes.
The quickest option is to pay online via My ASU. Under Priority Tasks, you will see a link to Pay Your Enrollment Deposit. Online payments are preferred and will result in faster processing. You can also mail a check to “Arizona State University” using the address: ASU Admission Services, PO Box 871004, Tempe, AZ 85287-1004. Please include the student's 10-digit student ID number in the memo line. Please allow 24-48 hours for the payment to post to a student’s account.
Students will get matched with a student who is a success coach as well as a transfer student. Their success coach will be able to help them navigate life at ASU as a transfer student and support their journey.
Join us for a Transfer Student Welcome at the start of your first semester, located on your home campus. Dates and locations can be found on the ASU Welcome website. Another way to meet transfer students is to connect with the Transfer Student Ambassadors. They are excited to help you with your transition to ASU.
Yes! Students can meet with meet with an Academic Advisor prior to paying the transfer enrollment deposit to review transfer credits, academic resources, and opportunities in their degree program.
