Solera Experience at ASU West FAQ

Where do we check-in?

Solera Experience at ASU West check-in takes place on Saturday, August 14, 2021 later afternoon in LaSala Ballrooms. Additional information for both residential and commuter students will be emailed to participants a week before the Solera Experience at ASU West begins.

 

What are the accommodations?

Students living on campus during the academic year will be staying in their assigned room. Students who will be commuting to campus during the academic year are encouraged to attend Solera and should plan to commute to West campus each day. Solera participants who are commuting will simply coordinate their arrival and departure each day with their team leaders. We want all of our first-year students to attend Solera and will do whatever we can to ensure students are able to attend.

 

What should I bring to Solera?

  • Reusable water bottle
  • Cool and comfortable clothes
  • Hat
  • Medications (including over-the-counter pain relievers/allergy medicines)
  • Sneakers and socks (Required for certain activities)
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Swimsuit (for day 2)
  • ASU ID
  • A great attitude and an open mind!

 

I registered for the Solera Experience at ASU West and can no longer attend. What do I do?

Please send an email to Solera@asu.edu with your information and let us know why you will no longer be attending. We will work to organize a different experience for you.

 

I am unable to attend the Solera Experience at ASU West? Do I get a refund?

Your attendance at the Solera Experience at ASU West is strongly encouraged. Our participants consistently report that their experience at ASU was greatly enhanced by their participation at Solera. However, if due to extenuating circumstances, you must cancel your registration, please email Solera@asu.edu. Refunds will only be given if the request is made no later than Friday, August 6, 2021. Refunds will be issued to the student account that was billed for the payment.
