Council of Presidents Meeting Minutes, 4.21.16
The ASASU Council of Presidents met on April 21. All were in attendance as well as new presidents Brandon Bishop and Ryan O’Hara. The following is a summary of the discussion:
- Council worked on the new Athletic Fee addendum. Council plans to continue revising and be ready for presentation to Dr. Rund at the next meeting.
- The Athletic Operations Board Marketing/Game Day Committee made a presentation to Council about their work this year.
- Rachael will send the link for the Board/Committee membership survey for Dan to distribute.
- Eric sent out the draft of the I’m Schmacked response. Council is word-smithing and seeking support from other student leaders so that it can be released by April 30.
- Next week: Transition Meeting with New COP and Dr. Rund, Presentation by Sport Club Association, Meeting wth Ciouncil of Coalitions for further budget conversation.
Council of President Minutes , 4.15.2016
The ASASU Presidents Council met on April 13, 2016. All presidents were present. The following is a summary of the discussion:
- Council presented budget requests to Dr. Rund and the campus Dean of Students.
- Downtown: Fee $454, 475; Operations $90,000
- Polytechnic: Fee $333,075; Operations $90,000 (fee budget needs clarification)
- Tempe: Fee $2,264,344; Operations $71,400
- West: Fee $393,375; Operations $90,000
- GPSA: Fee $838,000; Operations $89,300, Graduate Travel $84,900
- Council discussed the status of the Arizona Student Government Collaborative proposal.
- Council discussed the recently announced “I’m Schmacked” event and plans to write a response and solicit support from other student leaders. Eric will draft statement.
- Date set for lunch celebration with Dr. Rund for May 4th at 12:30pm in the University Club.
- Transition meetings with incoming COP scheduled: April 20 (alone with COP), April 27 (with Dr. Rund), May 5 (with Dr. Crow).
- Dan reminded COP about newly elected leaders training on Saturday, April 16. COP panel at 11:30am in AE England at Downtown campus.
- Rachael will be the undergraduate representative on the Test Prep provider RFP proposal.
- Upcoming presentations will be scheduled with Council of Coalitions, Athletic Ops Board Marketing Committee, and Sports Club Association leaders.
