Funding
USG West Valley Funding
Student Organization funding is broken down into these categories:
Operations Funding - Provided at the beginning of each semester to assist student organizations with week-to-week expenses. General funding will be capped at $750 per academic year.
Event Funding - Provided on a rolling basis throughout the year to assist student organizations in creating safe, fun, and enriching events for the student body.
Senate Committees
Committees are sections of Senate that look at one aspect of the job and expand on it. There are three committee types on the West Valley campus with different functions
Appropriations - Led by Senator Hayes: The appropriations committee is in charge of approving funds that get distributed out to students and clubs.
Government Operations - Led by Senator Perry: The Committee on Government Operations is responsible for legislation concerning the oversight of USG operations and revisions of the USG Constitution, USG Election Code, USG Bylaws, the USG Rules of the Senate, and any other governing documents of USG.
University Affairs - Led by Senator Guereque: University affairs really serves as a bridge between students and their senators. Keeva is in charge of making sure that the senators hold one event per semester.
Funding Guidelines
In order for your club/organization to request funding, a member from your team needs to meet with the club’s respective senator to discuss funding. If you need assistance with submitting a bill, contact your club’s senator. Find your club senator here.
Once you have met with your club senator, download and follow the instructions for submitting your request on Sun Devil Sync.
