Eligibility

SSS Downtown and Polytechnic Locations

In order for students to participate in and receive services from the SSS Programs, they must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • US Citizen (US National) or eligible non-citizen.
  • Enrolled in an ASU Downtown or Poly undergraduate program pursuing their first baccalaureate degree

In addition, students must be one of the following:

  • A "first generation" college student (NEITHER of their parents have a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree)
    OR
  • Eligible for or are receiving need-based financial aid for the student’s education and/or meet the federal government's guidelines for low income individuals/families
    OR
  • Eligible for or are receiving services from the Disability Resource Center (DRC)

SSS Tempe Location

In order for students to participate in and receive services from the Tempe SSS Disability Program they must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • A US Citizen (US National) or eligible non-citizen
  • Enrolled in an ASU Tempe undergraduate program pursuing their first baccalaureate degree

In addition, students are in encouraged to register with the Disability Resource Center (DRC).

SSS STEM West Location

In order for students to participate in and receive services at the ASU West SSS STEM Program, they must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • A US Citizen (US National) or eligible non-citizen enrolled in an ASU West undergraduate program pursuing their first baccalaureate degree in a STEM related program

In addition, students must be one of the following:

  • A "first generation" college student (NEITHER of their parents has a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree)
    OR
  • Eligible for or are receiving need-based financial aid for the student’s education and/or meet the federal government's guidelines for low income individuals/families
    OR
  • Eligible for or are receiving services from the Disability Resource Center

SSS STEM Downtown Location

In order for students to participate and receive services at the ASU Downtown SSS STEM Program, they must meet the following eligibility criteria: :

  • A US Citizen (US National) or eligible non-citizen
  • Enrolled in an ASU Downtown undergraduate program pursuing their first baccalaureate degree in a College of Health Solutions or a College of Nursing and Health Innovation related program

In addition, students must be one of the following:

  • A "first generation" college student (NEITHER of their parents has a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree)
    OR
  • Eligible for or are receiving need-based financial aid for the student’s education and/or meet the federal government's guidelines for low income individuals/families
    OR
  • Eligible for or are receiving services from the Disability Resource Center
