APACE (Asian Pacific Advocacy, Culture and Education) Academy is a 5-day summer program at ASU with a focus on Asian Pacific American history, culture, contemporary topics, cultural competency, public-speaking, and civic engagement.

APACE Academy students engage in activities which help them find connections between their cultural identity, history, and their own professional development. APACE is a space for high school students to make new connections with similarly aged peers, professionals, ASU faculty and students, and community organizations and mentors.

Join us for a summer of fun, creativity, and writing during the annual YAWP Summer Camp! Session A runs June 3rd-June 14th, and Session B runs from June 17th-28th. Camps will meet daily, Monday- Friday, from 9:00 am- noon. Choose from camps for grades 4-5, 6-8, or 9-12. Camps will cover cover a variety of topics including nature writing, empowering youth to write for change, and writing that perfect college essay. Included in the cost of camp is the book that the campers will use for creative inspiration.

Barrett Summer Scholars at the ASU Tempe campus is a week-long residential 2024 summer enrichment program designed for academically talented and motivated students entering 12th grade beginning in Fall 2024.  Participants engage in an honors course and an elective taught by university faculty to prepare them for enrollment and success at Arizona State University and Barrett, the Honors College.

Barrett Summer Scholars at the ASU West Valley campus in Glendale is a week-long residential 2024 summer enrichment program designed for academically talented and motivated students entering 11th grade beginning in Fall 2024.  Participants engage in an honors course and an elective taught by university faculty to prepare them for enrollment and success at Arizona State University and Barrett, the Honors College.

Camp Cronkite is where high school students from across the country come to grow their media skills—and get a taste of college life! Campers leave with real media skills and work to bolster (or kickstart!) their professional portfolios. Students are immersed in a variety of topics and skills within journalism and mass communication including digital journalism, broadcast journalism, sports journalism, digital marketing and so much more.

A component of the Central Arizona Writing Project, YAWP (Young Adult Writing Program) is designed to offer young writers a non-evaluative environment to explore the power of writing. Our camps will offer in-person and online YAWP courses in June 2023.
