Black African Convocation

The ASU Black African Convocation is a celebratory event that honors the accomplishments and commitment of ASU’s Black and African students pursuing higher education. Participation is open to all students graduating in the spring and fall semesters.

Due to public health recommendations that come with it, the celebration for spring 2021 graduates at Arizona State University will be virtual. We look forward to gathering with graduates, family and friends to celebrate with you in person when it is safe to do so. For now, we hope you will join us in virtually celebrating your achievements on May 3.

Planning is underway for the Black African Convocation and we invite graduates who will be participating to consider applying to become the selected student speaker for spring 2021. For more information and to apply, go to:

Deadline to submit your speech is Sunday, April 4, 2021.

We look forward to celebrating with you in May.
