The Asian/Asian Pacific American Convocation recognizes, honors and celebrates the accomplishments and commitment of ASU's Asian and Asian Pacific American students pursuing higher education. Participation is open to all students graduating in the Fall and Spring semesters. Academic regalia (cap and gown) required.  

The deadline for graduates to RSVP is November 18, 2018.

  • RSVP on the graduation tab on your myASU
  • Tickets are not required for admission
  • Family and friends are welcome
  • Refreshments will be served after the program
  • Graduates are asked to check in by 4 p.m. at the registration table outside of the Senita Ballroom to prepare for the formal processional that will begin at 5 p.m.
  • All graduates are required to wear an official ASU cap and gown during the convocation ceremony. You may purchase your regalia at the Sun Devil Campus Bookstores.

ATTIRE- All graduates must procure their own cap and gown, which must be worn during the ceremony. You can purchase your regalia at The Sun Devil Campus Bookstores will have product available starting at the Grad Fairs and will have product on hand up to and including the day of graduation. After that date, you will only be able to purchase a cap and gown at the Bookstore.

STUDENT SPEAKER- If you are interested in serving as the student speaker during convocation, please complete the Asian/Asian Pacific American Convocation Speaker Application by Nov. 11, 2018. INVITE ASU STAFF/FACULTY- Graduates are encouraged to invite staff and faculty who have contributed to their success at ASU. This invitation is open to all staff and faculty members of Arizona State University. Please provide the link 2018 Special Interest Convocation Faulty/Staff Registration Form to any staff or faculty that you would like to invite.
