Safety and health are issues of concern to many LGBTQIA+ individuals, their families and friends. The greater Phoenix metropolitan area offers a wide range of services, including health and safety outreach, that cater specifically to the LGBTQIA+ community.
Ignite Your Status — IGNITE is Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS’ outreach project to encourage and support the sexual health of gay men and the LGBTQ community in Phoenix. You’ll find IGNITE’s diverse group of community leaders interacting with people throughout Phoenix’s gay community, distributing safer sex materials, volunteering at free HIV testing events, providing education & assistance with PrEP and talking openly about safer sex, HIV and STIs. The project’s goal is to normalize the conversation and eliminate the stigma around safer sex and HIV.
Southern Arizona Aids Foundation — Provides LGBTQ+ health, violence, career, and advocacy support for the southern Arizona region, including the wingspan domestic violence program. ANTI-VIOLENCE 24 HOUR CRISIS HOTLINE 1 800 553-938724-hour Bilingual Crisis Line is available 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days-a-year. Our staff and trained volunteers offer crisis intervention, safety planning, referrals and support to LGBTQ survivors of violence. Support is available in both English and Spanish. All calls are confidential, and callers may remain anonymous.
Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS — Providing programs that target HIV prevention and services to those living with HIV/AIDS, Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS offers information, testing, volunteer opportunities, support groups, wellness clinics and more.
Spectrum Medical Group — Offering primary, routine, and specialty healthcare and wellness coaching, the professionals at Spectrum Medical Group understand and are sensitive to the healthcare concerns of the LGBTQIA community and offer a friendly and caring environment.
Stonewall Institute — The Stonewall Institute provides a 100% supportive and affirmative substance abuse and behavioral health services to the LGBTQIA community, with staff members professionally trained in understanding of the stressors and challenges LGBTQIA individuals and families face.
RAD Remedy — RAD Remedy is dedicated to connecting trans, gender non-conforming, intersex, and queer folks to accurate, safe, respectful and comprehensive care.
