Arizona State University has a thriving LGBTQIA+ community. Joining a club or organization is an invaluable way to engage, network and become involved on campus. Current students can connect via Sun Devil Sync, and students, alumni, faculty and staff can connect with their respective groups via Facebook.
Barrett LGBTQIA+ Club — An opportunity for LGBTQIA* honors students to develop a vibrant, interconnected community of peers with similar experiences; a safe and affirming space in which students can express their identities in confidence; individual and group experiences designed to investigate notions of gender, sexuality, and marginalization, as well as courage, liberation, and success.
Confetti — An LGBTQ+ student group on the Downtown Phoenix ASU campus that focuses on equality, inclusiveness, and safety for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning students through quality education and engaging programming. Confetti is inclusive to all students, faculty, staff, friends and allies of the LGBTQ+ community.
Gamma Rho Lambda Sorority (GRL) - Alpha Chapter — An all-inclusive women's social sorority exemplifying the qualities of tolerance, diversity, unity and trust, which provides a network of assistance in the areas of scholastic guidance, emotional support, and community service while ultimately developing the lifelong bonds of sisterhood.
LGBTQ Support Club — A student-led organization that provides a safe place for ASU students, alumni and their family or friends to discuss the issues related to the LGBTQ community. We welcome all of those who identify as LGBTQ, are questioning their sexuality or consider themselves allies to the community. If you seek answers or help in regards to this issue, our goal is to provide you with a confidential group of individuals to help you attain the information you seek by sharing our experiences and advice.
Spectrum: West campus — ASU West's gay-straight alliance. We are an organization with a mission to provide a safe space, and supportive community to all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) people on campus. This includes students, faculty, staff, friends and supporters (allies) of the LGBTQ community. The organization will provide a supportive environment for the coming out process of LGBTQ students, faculty and staff.
Transfam — A club focused on helping transgender students find community and access to resources that are available on campus. This is a place that allows all students to explore, learn, and be valid in their gender identity. This club is open to all genders on the binary or genders that do not align with the binary.
OUTLaw — The official gay-straight student alliance of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at ASU. OUTLaw involves law students in the national LGBT movement by encouraging political activism (writing/calling senators and representatives in support of or to voice concern about current legislation), supporting discussions of social change (such as participating in National Coming Out Day and the Day of Silence), and keeping students apprised of major case decisions and changes in laws affecting LGBT individuals. We are an organization open to anyone wishing to discuss issues relating to sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, and while we seek to provide a safe space, we welcome and encourage allies to participate.
ASU LGBTQ* Faculty/Staff Association — The ASU LGBTQ* Faculty & Staff Association supports and advocates for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ*) community at Arizona State University. The group’s mission is educating university administrators, faculty, staff and students on the policies, issues and challenges affecting our community and collaborating with student organizations and others who share the organization’s concerns and philosophy.
