Prepare for Orientation

Getting Ready for Orientation

Make sure you are ready to register for classes on your orientation day by completing the following important steps:

Immunization Records icon


Immunization Records: ASU requires students to submit documentation of Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) immunization 72 hours prior to orientation.

My ASU Familiarize yourself with your My ASU account. Don’t forget your username and password, you will be using it throughout your time at ASU, and it is important to check it regularly for required tasks and communications from ASU before and after your Orientation session.

Math Placement Exams Icon


Math Placement Exams: ASU requires all incoming freshmen to take an online math placement exam at least 72 hours prior to orientation. You will not be able to register for courses without a math placement score.

SAT/ACT Scores icon


SAT/ACT Scores: Submit your SAT and/or ACT scores prior to orientation. These scores are used to advise and place you in appropriate courses.

Final Transcripts icon


Final Transcripts: Final transcripts are not required in order to register for or attend orientation. Submit an official high school transcript once finalized. Request an official transcript be sent from your high school to ASU Admission Services as early as possible.

Photo ID icon


Photo ID: Plan ahead select the type of student ID you want at Orientation.

Orientation has gone mobile. Download the Devils on Campus app in the App Store or Google Play to plan ahead for New Student Orientation. Learn about your orientation program’s agenda, get directions to campus and more.

Laptop icon


Bring your laptop or tablet with you. Your advisor will help you bookmark useful pages when you register for classes.

Request Special Accommodations icon


Request Special Accommodations: If you need special accommodations, call 480-965-2880 or email us at least 10 business days before your orientation date. Special accommodations include: disabled parking, interpreters and/or special dietary requirements.
