President Barack Obama Scholars Program

Success starts with opportunity

The President Barack Obama Scholars Program promotes equal access for motivated, high-achieving Arizona students, for whom a lack of family resources is a barrier to higher education.

As a part of this scholarships program, Scholars have the benefit of one-on-one success coaching during their first year at ASU to ensure a successful transition to university life. Success Coaches and Scholars meet regularly, providing the opportunity for connections to valuable resources and helpful referrals for Scholars. First-year students should check the link below to find out your Success Coach’s name and contact information. This information is also available on your MyASU home page in the box titled ‘My Programs and eAdvisor’, under the link ‘Success Coaching’.

In support of the First-Year Success Coaching program, this website provides helpful reminders, News updates, and ongoing ways to get involved in your ASU communities. It is for both Scholars and Coaches, so please review the News link (at least) monthly.

If you have questions about your Obama Scholarship, please contact Financial Aid and Scholarship Services at 855-278-5080, use the My ASU Service tab to chat or visit one of their office locations .
