Health and Wellness

Maintaining your best health is important to your success while at Arizona State University. That includes living a healthy lifestyle, visiting the doctor for regular check-ups and obtaining health insurance.

Obtaining health insurance is a necessary step to staying healthy. Having health insurance will allow you to utilize on- and off-campus doctors to keep you healthy throughout your time here. International students can purchase health insurance from several providers.

It’s important to know your nearest pharmacy options. If you are not feeling well or need a common over-the-counter remedy, stop by a pharmacy to speak with a pharmacist who can help consult on the best course of action. As always, in case of a medical emergency, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Common pharmacies in the Metro Phoenix area include CVS and Walgreens. Many grocery stores will also have pharmacies where you can fill prescriptions. Please be aware, Arizona State University does not endorse any pharmacies, regardless of their proximity to campus.

Being active is an important part of remaining healthy and energized. All ASU students have access to the Sun Devil Fitness Complex on each campus, which offer a variety of ways to maintain your well-being. There are also a number of gyms and group fitness facilities around the Valley you may choose to join for an additional cost per month.
