Get ready to dive into the exciting world of semiconductors and assistive technology! In this hands-on day camp, high school students will unleash their creativity by building innovative projects with microcontrollers. Along the way, they’ll discover key concepts like voltage, resistance, analog vs. digital signals, and circuit design—all while learning how to use tools like multimeters and soldering irons.

STEAM Machines Maker Summer Camp Participants will be introduced to the engineering design process while learning basic science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) concepts like simple machines, electric circuits, programming, computational thinking, music, and storytelling. Participants will also have access to 3-D printers, laser cutters, Arduino microcontrollers and other electronic devices. The project-based approach will emphasize problem identification, brainstorming, problem-solving, rapid prototyping, teamwork, and communication. The camp will culminate with the design and construction of a giant thematic chain-reaction machine.

In this exciting hands-on day camp for grades 7 – 10, participants will dive into the realms of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) as they explore concepts such as simple machines, electric circuits, programming and computational thinking, music, and storytelling. Participants will also have access to cutting-edge technologies like 3-D printers, laser cutters, and Arduino microcontrollers to elevate their projects.
