Labor Day weekend reminder: Let's take care of each other, Sun Devils!

September 3, 2020

Dear Students,

Labor Day weekend is traditionally a time to gather with friends and family, or maybe hit the road, for an end-of-summer celebration.

We recognize the importance of connecting with others, especially after months of social isolation; however, we encourage you and all of our Sun Devils to consider a “Labor-Stay” this weekend to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep our ASU campuses and community healthy.

As the holiday weekend approaches, we need everyone to do their part, take personal responsibility for their actions, continue to adhere to public health protocols and comply with our Community of Care guidelines on and off-campus:

  • Avoid large gatherings. Keep gatherings small and outdoors, as much as possible.
  • Know before you go. Complete your daily health check. If you or anyone in your household is not well, please stay home and schedule a telehealth appointment if you experience symptoms.
  • Mask up. Wearing a cloth face covering at all times protects you and others.
  • Physical distance. Maintain at least 6 feet of physical distance from anyone outside your “safe bubble” – your roommates and suitemates.
  • Practice healthy hand hygiene. Wash and sanitize your hands frequently.
  • There’s always next year. Pass on holiday weekend gatherings and unnecessary travel, with an eye on the Labor Day weekend celebrations we’ll enjoy next year.

Be well, Sun Devils!

Thank you for dedication to keeping yourself and those around you healthy.
