Rainbow Ceremony

The ASU Rainbow Ceremony is a celebratory event that honors the accomplishments and commitment of ASU’s 2SLGBTQIA+ students pursuing higher education. Participation is open to all graduating students.
You must apply for graduation to activate the registration link. Please visit Graduation for more details on applying for graduation. Graduates are asked to arrive at the Student Pavilion at 10:30 a.m.

- Check-in will begin outside the Student Pavilion. Please be sure to look for check-in signs.●
- Check-in ends 15 minutes before the formal program. Please plan accordingly as you will not be permitted to participate after the program begins.
- If you have other ceremonies that conflict with this one or are scheduled closely together, please be mindful of your timing, as we cannot expedite this ceremony process. Thank you for your understanding!
- All graduates must wear the official ASU cap and gown during the ceremony. You may purchase your regalia at the Sun Devil Campus Bookstores.

- University commencement and ceremonies are special events for all involved. Please show respect for everyone who has come to share in the experience.
- Banners, flags, and/or signs of any shape and size are not permitted inside of any ceremony venue. Student are expected to carry their robes through security checkpoints entering any ceremony facility.
- There is no secure location to store your bags; you will be responsible for your belongings and will not be able to carry bags with you during the program. We are abiding by clear bag policy.
- Only working staff, graduating students and authorized guests are allowed at the graduate and staff entry points. This restriction applies to Gammage, Desert Financial Arena, Mountain America Stadium, or other ceremony venues.
- Please have family members and friends wait in guest seating areas.
- The parking lot at Gammage (Lot 3) will be free.
- Family and friends are welcome to attend. Doors will open for guests at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are not required.
- Participating graduates will receive the official Rainbow cords during the program.
- Stoles and/or Cords will only be reserved for those in attendance.
