Career Assessments

Career inventories and assessments are useful tools that help students determine how their specific interests, skills and values fit into specific occupations or academic majors.

ASU Career and Professional Development Services Assessments

You can register for the following in-depth career assessments by logging onto your Handshake account and scheduling a in-person or virtual appointment with a career advisor. A $25 fee will apply and includes a full report and interpretation from a certified professional.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI): The results from this assessment show a student's preferred work tasks and work environments. They show how a student's personality affects his or her career exploration.

StrengthsQuest: This inventory helps students see the relationship between their interests and the patterns of interests of people working in a range of major occupations.

Students can take the following assessments and view their results immediately.

Arizona Career Information System (AzCIS): This system provides assessments on interests, skill, and values, as well as access to career information. (Username: asucareer; Password: 4azcis02)

Talentoday: This 10 minute personality questionnaire will help a student identify his or her unique assets, strengths and motivations which lead to a more fulfilling and successful career.

me3® Career Assessment: Students can use this quick and easy picture game to determine top career options and how those match to educational opportunities.
