Arizona State University ranked as the top public research institution and No. 3 overall college or university for international students, according to the 2017 Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange. With more than 13,000 international students enrolled at ASU or participating in Optional Practical Training, ASU understands the unique career development needs of these individuals and provides resources and tools to help them pursue their dream careers.
Career and Professional Development Services (CPDS) offers a number of workshops and events each semester specifically designed for international students. In addition, CPDS offers tailored 1:1 career advising, peer career advising, resume reviews and mock interviewing. These services address cultural differences in the workplace, business communication and the appropriate approach to job searching and networking in the United States.
In addition to the resources offered through CPDS, The International Students and Scholars Center (ISSC) at ASU can help international students understand the legalities and requirements of academic and employment-based programs.
