Arizona State University is committed to nondiscrimination based on religious belief or practice and expects faculty and administrators to be sensitive to religious observances, reasonably accommodate them unless doing so creates undue hardship, and work with students and employees on scheduling or other adjustments. Students should notify faculty at the start of the semester of religious absences, and employees observing religious holidays must notify supervisors within ten working days of the semester’s start and arrange coverage or rescheduling in advance, consistent with ASU’s Accommodation for Religious Practices policy (ACD304-04).
The calendar below includes religious holidays, traditional observances, and major faith-based celebrations observed by members of Arizona State University's diverse community of students, faculty, and staff. This resource is intended to support awareness, inclusion, and academic planning; however, it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all religious holidays, observances, traditions, or faith communities represented at ASU. The university will remain open during most of the observances listed. For information on university-wide holidays, academic deadlines, and campus closures, please visit ASU's Academic Calendar.
