ASU's School of International Letters and Cultures (SILC)
Continuing its mission of promoting cultural diversity and awareness of the Hispanic, Latino, and Chicano communities at Arizona State University (ASU) and the surrounding communities it serves, the track Chicano and Chicana Studies in Spanish (CCSS) and the electronic journal Peregrinos y sus Letras (PysL) are pleased to announce its XV Encuentro de Escritores y Artistas Iberoamericanos en los Estados Unidos or XV Annual Gathering of Ibero-American Writers and Artists in the United States. With an interdisciplinary series of events, this year’s edition focuses on a wide exploration of identity via several forms like literature, film, art, and drama. For this year’s edition of the Encuentro/Gathering, the track Chicano and Chicana Studies in Spanish (CCSS) at ASU and the journal Peregrinos y sus letras (PysL) offer a bold program with an increase in diverse symposiums, exhibits, workshops, screenings, and performances from October 6 to October 13, 2022, both on campus at ASU and in the greater Phoenix area.
