USG Farmer's Market

As a part of our Earth Day sustainable initiatives we are hosting market vendors to be a part of a campus wide farmers market. The event will take place outside the Memorial Union and Student Pavilion from 11:00 AM- 3 PM on Friday April 22nd (Earth Day). We believe this is a way for both students to have access to small businesses in our surrounding community that they may not be able to access regularly, as well as give vendors the opportunity to expand their market to a larger demographic while supporting Earth Day festivities/initiatives. As a part of the vendors participation we asked them to limit the use of single use plastics in packaging. We will be providing students with reusable bags and reusable cups, so there will be no use of disposable bags or other single use materials at the event. We hope to empower the student body to be able to approach sustainable materials at the event in an exciting and engaging way.
