Dr. Breanne Fahs (she/her) Professor of Women and Gender Studies, New College of Arts and Sciences, will discuss the creation of her new book Unshaved: Resistance and Revolution in Women’s Body Hair Politics, which illustrates how body hair is a path to difficult discussions regarding gender, bodies, power, and social control. Attendees will be encouraged to critically think about ways to co-create more liberating conditions for women and otherwise oppressed gendered communities.
