Breanne Fahs will discuss her book Unshaved: Resistance and Revolution in Women’s Body Hair Politics to explore how gender and power are experienced in embodied ways. In this book talk, Dr. Fahs will discuss the creation of her new book Unshaved: Resistance and Revolution in Women’s Body Hair Politics, which illustrates how body hair is a path to difficult discussions regarding gender, bodies, power, and social control. Attendees will be encouraged to critically think about ways to co-create more liberating conditions for women and otherwise oppressed gendered communities.
