Student Connection and Community
Threaded. Together is a modern twist on the knitting circle of old. We are welcoming one and all to pull up a chair and dig into our hands-on event. Please attend with an open heart as we make hope weavings for the future we strive to create. This workshop introduces participants to beginner fiber techniques that cross through different cultures and time periods. Using contemporary and non-traditional materials participants will create their own 'hope weaving' by utilizing newly learned techniques in weaving, knotting, braiding, etc. Various fibers will be provided for participants but we encourage all to bring old t-shirts, clothing or material they don't mind destroying in the process of creation. Sponsored in partnership with Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts and Culture@ASU.
