Seize the Moment Variety Show
Come one, come all! Blending the knowledge and rigor of academic presentations with the energy and liveliness of talk shows and open mics, the Seize the Moment Variety Show is an hour of pop-up talks, interviews, presentations and more celebrating the dynamic, interdisciplinary work of the Humanities Lab and Leonardo Labs at Arizona State University.
What have we been up to? Working across literature, disability studies, sustainability, philosophy and more, our students and faculty have been:
- Humanizing Digital Culture: Reimagining human identity within the digital world with Diana Ayton-Shenker and Timothy Summers.
- Deconstructing Race: Investigating race in a transnational framework with Isaac Joslin and Yeukai Mlambo.
- Epidemic Emergences: Exploring how health is supported or imperiled in human communities with Jennifer Brian and Cora Fox.
- Aging in American Culture: Asking what it means to be old (and who decides what old is) with Aaron Guest, Mary Fitzgerald and Eileen Standley.
- Food, Health and Climate Change: Developing more holistic visions for the future of food with Joni Adamson and Rimjhim Aggarwal.
What have we come up with? You'll just have to see!
