About the film
Fentanyl overdoses are not unique to any region of the country or the world, for that matter. This film explores a time when fentanyl overdose deaths in Vancouver, Canada reached an all-time high and takes us on a journey with the staff and volunteers of the Overdose Prevention Society for an inside look. A group of misfits, artists, and drug users operates a renegade safe injection site in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. This film is an intimate portrait of a community fighting to save lives and keep hope alive in a neighborhood ravaged by the overdose crisis.
