The Women’s Council of Indigenous Doctoral Scholars (WCIDS) is hosting a Zine making workshop celebrating Indigenous HERstories about Indigenous women’s experiences in graduate and doctoral programs. The Zine will address the disparity of Indigenous women in doctoral programs and highlight current Indigenous women in higher education as a form of healing, creating kinship, and (re)writing and (re)righting narratives to center their voice. Participants will be asked to design one Zine page that will be digitized and disseminated by WCIDS. Size and requirements TBD. WCIDS hopes this creative event is an outlet for Indigenous healing that nourishes mind, body, and soul. This is a hybrid event with two events: Hayden Library, 3rd Floor, Room 317 (Tempe); Zoom Link Password: WCIDS (Virtual)
