History of the Future: Rollerball
Join ASU's Center for Science and the Imagination in partnership with Majestic Neighborhood Cinema in Tempe to view Rollerball on the silver screen. This screening is part of a greater film series: The History of the Future, exploring gripping, cinematic visions of the future across the past four decades.
Join us Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. to take a step back to 1975 for a theatrical screening of Rollerball. The cult classic of a roller derby gone rogue in the far off future of the year 2018.
The film will be introduced by author, Matt Bell, whose literary works include Appleseed (2021) and How They Were Found (2010). Bell is currently a professor of English and creative writing at ASU and is well versed in the speculative fiction that The Center for Science and the Imagination dives deep into.
Tickets are $8.00, plus applicable taxes and service charges. A limited number of free tickets for ASU students are available on a first-come, first-served basis, courtesy of your Imaginary Friends at CSI. Fill out this form to claim yours. You must be a currently enrolled ASU student and have an @asu.edu email address to claim a free ticket.
Be sure to arrive early to take advantage of Majestic's dining experience and get your hands on our free, limited-edition History of the Future stickers
