Doing Your Senior Year Right!

T- Minus two semesters! Before the hats fly and the college chapter closes, many of us are left wondering, how did I do this last year? It has to be memorable. It has to check all the boxes. Well let me, an ASU Alumni, give you some items to add to your senior year bucket list!

Did you even go to ASU if you weren’t a part of the Inferno? College life is centered around sports and athletics. One experience you won’t get anywhere else is being a part of the Student Section- The Inferno! My personal favorites were football (The Territorial Cup), men’s hockey, and women’s soccer events. Those were the best for watching amazing athleticism and getting some free merch too!

If sports aren't your jam, no worries! The next thing on your list has to be the ASU Art Museum! Ferris Bueller's Day Off wasn’t complete without having an art tour and existential awakening at a museum. Your ASU experience won't be without it either! As a student, you can enter for free and enjoy wandering the halls of many talented artists. Check the website for exhibitions.

Phoenix, Arizona is one of the largest cities in the United States. That being said- THE FOOD! These are some of the best places to grab an aesthetic bite! Start the day right with the best breakfast burritos- these have to be from Vaqueros Carne Asada. Lunch is the second-best meal of the day. Arizona classics like Taco Guild and The Mission are unforgettable dining experiences. Smaller places with big flavors are Authentic Ethio African Spices, Phở Nhật Restaurant (933 E University Dr, Ste 116, Tempe, AZ ), and Indian Delhi Palace- nothing but perfection. For a nightlife that is sure to make your Instagram followers fall in love- it has to be Postinos, another Arizona Chain that is centered around an artistic atmosphere and great food! My last bucket list restaurant is the best place to eat before a Suns basketball game- the Ainsworth PHX

For my music lovers- I did not forget about you! If you like a nice evening with live music, look no further than Culinary Dropout. Someone is always playing and sure to set the vibes. The best place to dance is the Marquee Theater. There is always a concert and a good time walking distance from Tempe! Gimme Gimme Disco was the best night of my life! Check out their shows here. And of course, if you are hoping to close out your senior year Arizona style, you have to check out The Buffalo Chip. There’s a dance floor, bull riding, BBQ, and fun times all around! Plus the story of the Buffalo Chip will make you a great guest at dinner parties, so look it up!

Senior year coming to a close might be a sad and nostalgic time. This can be a year to remember and the best time to spend with your friends and family. Use this year to make no regrets and leave things unfinished. You and your friends will have beautiful moments to look back on and remember your time here at ASU.

Forks Up!
