Beyond the Bookshelf: ‘A Portrait of the Scientist as a Young Woman’ with Lindy Elkins-Tanton

You’re invited to a virtual conversation with Lindy Elkins-Tanton about her book, “Portrait of the Scientist as a Young Woman,” a memoir about her life as a scientist.

Join the ASU Library for the next installment of the “Beyond the Bookshelf” series. Learn how Elkins-Tanton navigated challenges in her life to become the second woman to lead a NASA mission to a major solar system body. Elkins-Tanton will be joined in conversation by Karalyn Ostler, STEM Librarian with the ASU Library. Hear Elkins-Tanton talk about finding your purpose by using the tools of scientific inquiry to discovering meaning through the exploring the wonders of the universe.

Elkins-Tanton is the vice president of the Interplanetary Initiative at ASU and Principal Investigator of the NASA Psyche mission. She received her doctorate from MIT in 2002.
