Hygiea is a waste management IoT platform. Their product uses a unique set of design, communication and sensing technologies that improves the efficiency of waste collection processes by more than 40%. Hygiea is the first company in the world to use this novel combination of technologies in this application that enables it to generate value in savings to large waste management companies and facilities.

Compass for Courage

Compass for Courage ($5,000)

Compass for Courage is a brief school-based curriculum (6 lessons, 25 minutes each) delivered to students who exhibit higher-than-average anxiety levels. Compass uses science-based games and role-play activities to teach students strategies to manage their worries, and cultivate problem-solving skills, self-confidence, and resilience so they can more effectively manage anxiety and stress now and in the future.
