The ASU Wind Ensemble welcomes to campus Dr. Gillian MacKay, Professor of Music and Director of the Wind Ensemble at the University of Toronto, to conduct David Maslanka’s Traveler. We are also excited to share the stage with ASU’s bassoon professor Dr. Albie Micklich on the consortium premiere of Nico Muhly’s Reliable Sources.

As part of ASU's celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, ASU Wind Bands launches their 2022–23 season on Sept. 15 at ASU Gammage with a concert featuring composers representing Argentina, Colombia, Cuba and Mexico.
In collaboration with the Sidney Poitier New American Film School, the ASU Wind Ensemble presents an evening of music from the movies. Highlights include music from Star Wars and Whitacre’s Godzilla Eats Las Vegas.

Join our Music Theatre and Opera students for an informal night of merriment and music-making. All monies received through ticketing will be used to support the annual music theatre showcase. Music direction by Lindsay Noel Miller (Music Theatre and Opera teaching assistant).

The Wind Symphony turns to composers who were inspired by the work of William Shakespeare, while the Wind Ensemble features ASU’s Nathan De’Shon Myers, assistant professor of voice, in Erik Santos’ "The Seer," winner of the 2020 American Bandmasters Association Sousa-ABA-Ostwald Award.
